The top jobs website in the world has actually launched a new campaign called “Don’t just hire, hire better.” Indeed’s new campaign uses a series of amusing movies to highlight the problems businesses can have if they don’t use the right hiring tools.
The advertising campaign launches in six important cities, including Delhi NCR, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Patna, and Lucknow, as well as several regional languages. Three ads make up the series, which shows three scenarios where employment through referrals goes horribly wrong. The idea is based on the observation that, despite a change in online hiring for SMBs, many SMBs still rely on their own first-party sources for hiring. In fact, according to data from Indeed’s poll, 7 out of 10 SMBs in India prefer to hire workers based on personal recommendations. When hiring outside of Indeed, the videos and print ads take a comedic approach to workplace disasters.
Conceptualized and created by DDB Mudra the ad campaign is directed by Vivek Kakkad. The ad films and creatives will be spread across various digital and print platforms that employers and job seekers choose to watch such as YouTube and physical press across regional and national newspapers.
The need to hire better
Although the previous two years have been difficult for SMBs, many of them have taken advantage of the pandemic to create the groundwork for a solid digital future. SMBs have always engaged in constant competition for talent not only with other small firms but also with large corporations. They frequently choose resources based on personal connections, as in the instance of the advertisement’s “Chacha ka ladka bahut hoshiyaar hai” slogan. A competent workforce is essential for successful competition in the digital age, making it all the more crucial for SMBs to find the right personnel to support their revolutionary growth path.
