What Top-Performing Companies Do Differently
Want employees to stay? Talk about pay. In a study of 71,000 employees, PayScale found that 82% of employees surveyed would stay at a company if they were underpaid, as long as their employer was transparent about the reason. Top performers understand this notion and report higher levels of transparency. When asked ‘does your company have transparent, open communication around salaries?’, 40% of average companies reported that they do. Though this is a significant shift towards embracing transparency, what is more striking is that 47% of top performers report embracing pay transparency.
